Asraya Bhavan focuses on the welfare of the Mentally Challenged Persons. Mental Retardation is a disorder with onset during the developmental period. Mental retardation is classified as having an IQ score below 67. It includes intellectual deficits and difficulty functioning in daily life in areas such as communication, self-care, home living, social/interpersonal skills, self-direction, academics, work, leisure, health, and safety. In all cases, special education, training and social skills can help to develop the person with mental retardation maximize their abilities.

RESIDENTIAL CARE HOME
Asraya Bhavan runs a Residential Care Home for Mentally Challenged Women. Admission to Care Home has aged 15 and above. The services of Care Home for prolonged stay and respite care. The Care Home is intended for providing lifelong residence to those who require it.

SHELTER & CLOTHING
All the poor residents of the home were provided free shelter and clothing. All their requirements are taken care of by the Asraya Bhavan.

SKILL TRAINING
We are providing residents with mental retardation a variety of life-skills-based training  in different trades to develop their mental skills, aptitude and talents. This will help in building up their confidence and create work culture, a sense of dignity and self esteem in them. We are trained in some useful activities such as yoga in the morning, go for a healthy walk in the surrounding area, cooking, gardening, agriculture, general household activities for daily living, indoor games, practicing special abilities like singing, playing musical instruments, dancing, painting, drawing, TV watching, playing computer games etc to their  interests under responsible supervision. This make self dependent when they come out of the home.
